Hey! My name is Caitlin, and this is my book review blog, Long Story Short. I am 18 years old and am just getting started blogging. I have loved to read ever since I was a little girl, and have been writing my own reviews for quite some time in what I call my book journal. I have never posted them anywhere though, and wanted to start sharing my opinions with other book lovers. I don't have a lot of big readers in my life, so I wanted to create a community where I could have that.

There are multiple features of this blog that help you find your next read, see what I'm currently stocking my shelves with, or add a new bookstore to your travel bucket list. The blog is split into 4 categories: book reviews, monthly reads, book hauls, and features. I will be posting a more in-depth book review a month of my most rantable read, as well as a post that overviews each book I read for that month, with a rating and short comment for each. Book hauls will give info on current popular books, ones I am just getting to, and an insight into my own tastes in general. Lastly, features will just be fun little posts on the bookish activities I'm up to. 

 

As for a bit more about myself, my favorite books are young adult fantasy novels, literary fiction, the occasional mystery, and of course, a little bit of romance (okay, maybe a lot). I am a sucker for anything enemies-to-lovers. My top favorite books as of now are probably the Once Upon A Broken Heart, Fourth Wing, the Powerless trilogy, and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue.
