Hey guys!! Since it's the beginning of 2025 (kind of), I wanted to do a little list of all the books I am most excited to be released in 2025 that I know of as of now! 2025 is going to be the year for all the book girlies, since there are so many other books in so many different genres that are being released this year. That being said, here are a few that I personally cannot wait for!
3/18 - Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
This book really needs no explanation, as it is the second prequel to The Hunger Games. Set after The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and 24 years before The Hunger Games, this book follows Haymitch's games. A movie is coming as well, so lots to be excited about as a Hunger Games fan!!
3/25 - Summer in the City by Alex Aster
I have yet to read Lightlark, which is also by Aster, but she has a new book coming out that sounds super cute! Summer in the City is an enemies-to-lovers romance set in NYC. I just visited NYC myself, so I'm excited to read a book set there after the fact. The cover of this book is just adorable and it even has the cutest map on the endpages!!
4/8 - Fearless by Lauren Roberts
My excitement for this book also needs no explanation, as it is the third and final book in the Powerless trilogy!! I NEED Kai and Paedyn to end up together or else I literally do not know what I am going to do with myself. I honestly am so terrified for this book. Lauren has yet to give me a happy ending...
4/22 - Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry
Emily Henry is a perfect angel and she literally could never ever write a bad book in my eyes. If you haven't read any of her books, I have more than enjoyed every single one and her writing style is incredible. I will eat up whatever she writes and this book will be no different. Already giving it 5 stars.
7/22- Not Quite Dead Yet by Holly Jackson
This is Holly Jackson's first adult novel and I am beyonddddd excited!!!! The concept for this book is so interesting too. The main character has to solve her murder before she dies. I've never heard of anything like it. I just know that it is going to cause me an extreme amount of pain and trauma and I am so here for it :)
8/5 - Accomplice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer
I've read Assistant to the Villain but haven't read the next in the series, Apprentice to the Villain. I absolutely loved the first book though and was laughing out loud the whole time. It was such a fun read because it is more character driven in my opinion and I loved the vibes of the book. I plan on purchasing Apprentice to the Villain on my next book shopping spree so I can read it before Accomplice comes out.
9/30 - Alchemy of Secrets by Stephanie Garber
This is probably the book that I am most excited for because Stephanie Garber is my favorite author of all time. Her fantasy worlds are just so magical and there is something about the characters that I relate to so much. This is her first adult novel and first book written outside of the Caraval and OUABH worlds, which I was not expecting when she teased that she was announcing a new book. I am beyond happy for this new chapter for her as a writer. I feel like I've grown up with her stories alongside her as a writer, so I have a special connection to her books. I've already pre-ordered a signed edition, that's how excited I am!!
