Ranking My Fav Book Couples

Hey!! Since it's Valentine's Day, I wanted to do a fun little post ranking my favorite book couples! This was actually so challenging and I had a hard time narrowing down my list. I will admit, my rankings are a little predictable, but just know that I did come up with some less popular ones, they just didn't make it into my top 5 lol. I do think a few might be a bit different though. Love u guys and enjoy :)

#5 Mare and Cal from the Red Queen series

Okay, so don't judge, but I read Red Queen in middle school, which was quite a few years ago so I don't remember much, but I do remember being OBSESSED with Mare and Cal. So obsessed that I bought the book of short novellas just so I could only read a single interaction between Mare and Cal because I just had to see if they got back together after the events of the last book. I honestly thought I might die if they didn't lol. Anyways, Red Queen was the series that got me into fantasy, so I will always have a special love for these characters.

#4 Anna and Etienne (St. Clair) from Anna and the French Kiss

I'm not a big romance novel girlie (I prefer it as a subplot), but this book was absolutely magical, and Anna and Etienne are just beyond cute! I think that their personalities, the setting, and what they went through together was what made me fall in love with them. I was totally rooting for Anna the whole time and screaming at my book for St Clair to break up with Ellie to be with her. I can't really describe it, but they just are perfect for each other and I love seeing more of them in Lola and the Boy Next Door, which I am currently reading!

#3 Paedyn and Kai from the Powerless trilogy

Pae and Kai are my roman empire. They are literally my everything. The enemies-to-lovers is perfect, the banter is bantering, and I love that they are both equally obsessed with each other. I struggled between deciding to put them at #2 or #3 because of the fact that I love both of these characters and their journeys individually, and not just them as a couple. I am them and they are me and you cannot convince me otherwise. Kai is a tortured poet and Pae is a silver-haired girlboss. I just adore them. The dynamic of their relationship is so compelling and their is never a dull moment between these two.

#2 Violet and Xaden from the Empyrean series

    Honestly, I'd give anything to have a boyfriend that I can talk to in my mind. Vi and Xaden are just beyond description. He wields shadows, she wields lightning. Her mom killed his dad, his dad killed (...no spoilers...) her brother. What could be more perfect!? At first, I was like okay, classic enemies-to-lovers, big whoop. But as I got into Iron Flame and Onyx Storm (ESPECIALLY Onyx Storm...ahhhhh), I absolutely fell for Xaden (as a Ridoc girlie through and through). I love how he and Vi put each other before anyone or anything else. They're just so romantic without all the fluff and despite being, you know, at war and dealing with the horrors they are facing.

#1 Evangeline and Jacks from the Once Upon a Broken Heart trilogy

Jacks is my favorite book boyfriend, so naturally he and Evangeline had to be at number one. The way their relationship grew across the three books was just perfect. And the TENSION!!! Incredible. Evangeline and Jacks are so opposite in their ideals - Eva believes in the happily ever afters that Jacks destroys - but somehow they just work. I love "Prince of Hearts" Jacks and all his sass, but I'm a sucker for Jacks of the Hollow and his softness. Evangeline is also my most relatable and favorite FMC ever, so this couple is just on a whole other level for me.
